Dear President Trump’s Evangelical Council,

I write to you, with a humble heart, to admonish you to withdraw your support of President Trump. I know you believe that he is being used of God, but the exact opposite is true.  The scriptures below instruct that Donald Trump is being used by the enemy.  In love, I remind you that the Bible gives us very specific, easily recognizable indicators of the enemy at work. A person being used by the enemy:

  1. Behaves in an abusive manner. (Psalm 10, 2 Timothy 3:3)
  2. Exhibits an extreme pattern of lying. (Psalm 10:7, John 8:44)
  3. Is paranoid and of unsound mind. (1 Sam. 16:15-16, 1 Sam. 18:8-12, 2 Tim. 3:8)
  4. Lacks self-control. (2 Timothy 3:3)
  5. Is pompous and self-exalting. (Isaiah 14:11-14, 2 Timothy 3:2)
  6. Is jealous; craves continual praise and undying loyalty. (1 Sam 18:8-11, James 3:16)
  7. Promotes killing and destruction. (John 10:10)
  8. Uses profane, degrading, and slanderous language. (2 Tim. 2:16, 2 Tim. 3:2-3)
  9. Derives wisdom from hell resulting in chaos and disorder. (James 3:14-16)
  10. Is excessively greedy. (2 Timothy 3:2, Jude 12)
  11. Is boastful and arrogant. (2 Timothy 3:2, Jude 16)
  12. Hides behind religion to gain favor. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15, 2 Tim. 3:5)
  13. Pretends to be working on behalf of God. (2 Corinthians 11:13)

Not only should a person like this NOT hold a position of power, but Second Timothy 3:5 explicitly states that we should avoid people like these. Your continued enablement of this president looks a lot like blatant disobedience to God and to His scriptures. I urge you to open your eyes before it’s too late. I urge you to remember that there is more than one way for the rulers and principalities of this world to stage a holocaust.  Nuclear weapons will work just fine. While the rest of us are praying for Trump’s swift removal, you can be using your relationship with him to convince him to resign.

Please consider carefully Jude’s critical warning:

For certain men have secretly slipped in among you. . .ungodly men who have turned the grace of our God into a license for evil. . .  These men are dangerous reefs at your love feasts, feasting without reverence, feeding only themselves.  These people are grumblers and fault-finders who go wherever their desires lead them, and they give bombastic speeches, enchanting folks for their own gain.  But you, dear friends—recall the predictions foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.  For they said to you, “In the end time there will come scoffers, propelled by their own ungodly desires.”  These people are divisive, worldly, devoid of the Spirit.

Jude 4, 12, 17-19

Dangerous. Divisive. Devoid of the Holy Spirit. I caution you to take care with the glorious name of Christ, that it not be misattributed to a masquerading spirit. And I implore you, for the safety of the entire world, to advocate for Trump’s resignation.

Yours in the faithfulness of the One and Only True King,

Amy Hawk
